Integrating Hosted Files

After setting up the Sitemap and the robots.txt file, ensure that you include the corresponding Sitemap entry in your robots.txt file. The goal is to make the Sitemap and Robots available under your own shop domain.

For the frontend integration, you have two options for implementation:

• Implement a proxy pass: Set up your web server to act as a proxy. This way, when someone accesses www.your-shop.de/sitemap.xml or www.your-shop.de/robots.txt, the server fetches the content from the Add-on URL and serves it as if it were local.
• Use a server-side redirect: Configure your web server to redirect requests for www.your-shop.de/sitemap.xml or www.your-shop.de/robots.txt to the provided Add-on URL. This can be done using proxy passes or rewrite rules in your server configuration (e.g., Apache, Nginx).

Get Sitemap and Robots URL

Sitemap

1. Go to Add-ons ➜ Sitemap Add-on ➜ Sitemap Management.
2. In the Schedule section, the publicly accessible AWS link is shown.
   Copy the link and embed it in your templates.

Robots

1. Go to Add-ons ➜ Sitemap Add-on ➜ Robots Management.
2. Per generated robots file, the publicly accessible AWS link is added to the respective section.
   Copy the link and embed it in your templates.
