The Checkout frontend offers the option to display a newsletter subscription checkbox for customers who have not yet signed up. The Mailchimp Add-on features a ready-to-use subscription check integration to determine if a customer is already subscribed. If a customer already has a newsletter subscription, the checkout will seamlessly omit the checkbox.

  1. Go to Add-Ons > Mailchimp Add-On > Newsletter.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  3. Switch on the subscription check feature.
  4. Click Save.

Configure guest newsletters

Guest newsletters refer to newsletter sign-up from your Storefront. E.g. when you have a newsletter sign-up CTA in the footer of your web-shop.

Newsletter field mappings

The guest newsletter fields can be defined freely to match with the sign-up form in the Storefront.

Guest Newsletter Mappings

Integrate guest newsletter endpoint

The Add-on exposes an endpoint for the Storefront to send newsletter sign-up requests to. The add on forwards these requests and creates the contacts in Mailchimp.

The endpoint URL is displayed below the guest newsletter description. In the Settings Page you can create an API token to securely connect from your Storefront application.
