Adyen Apple Pay

This guide explains how to integrate and configure Apple Pay via Adyen in your SCAYLE shop.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • An active Adyen merchant account with credit card processing enabled.
  • API credentials from your Adyen Customer Area:
    • API key
    • Merchant Account
    • Endpoint (including live-prefix)
    • Web service user
    • Client key
  • Necessary whitelisting in your apple account (follow Adyen instructions)
  • Separate credentials for sandbox and production environments
  • Access to an Adyen test credit card that works with Apple Pay and a supported device/browser (helpful for sandbox testing).

Capture types

Our integration supports multiple capture modes:

  • Instant capture – the payment is captured immediately when the order is placed.
  • Delayed capture – the payment is authorized when the order is placed but only captured later (e.g. after a set time, or at shipment). Configurable via Adyen UI.

Possible restrictions

Depending on your business needs, you may configure additional restrictions:

  • Minimum / maximum basket value (to show a payment method only for a specific cart value)
  • Minimum customer age (to offer payment methods only to customers with a certain age)

Optional Configurations

The integration also allows for:

  • Saving the payment method for future purchases
  • Whitelisting browsers & devices
  • Combining with gift cards

Payment operations supported

Below you find a list of all supported payment operations for this payment method:

  • Authorization
  • Capture
  • Cancellation
  • Refund

Configuration of the payment method

The setup and configuration of payment methods in the SCAYLE Panel will be handled by your SCAYLE Account Manager. This ensures all settings are correctly applied.
