Klarna - Pay in 3 (installments)

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

• An active Klarna merchant account with Pay in 3 enabled.
• API credentials from your Klarna Merchant Portal:
  • Username
  • Password
  • Merchant ID
  • API URL (sandbox + production)
• Access to Klarna test accounts for installment payments.

Capture Types

• Delayed capture – Payments are authorized upfront but captured in installments. Klarna manages the installment schedule.

Possible Restrictions

• Minimum / maximum basket value (e.g., only offer installments above €35).
• Customer eligibility (Klarna performs its own credit and risk checks).
• Availability limited to certain regions and currencies.

Optional Configurations

• Combine Klarna Pay in 3 with giftcards.
• Allow customers to save Klarna as a preferred payment method.

Payment Operations Supported

• Authorization
• Capture (handled by Klarna according to the installment plan)
• Cancellation
• Refund (partial and full)

Configuration of the Payment Method

Setup in the SCAYLE Panel is done by your SCAYLE Account Manager.
