Understanding the freature

Explain main concepts a user would need to understand in order to configure / prepare this feature

Example from carriers:

In SCAYLE's logistics and shipping system, the Carrier concept is defined by two key elements:

  1. CarrierKey (Carrier Code)
  2. CarrierGroupKey

Those keys serve distinct functions within the shipping process. In combination, they streamline both the logistical and user-facing aspects of the shipping process and are configured as Carrier Type.

CarrierKey (Carrier Code)

The carrierKey defines, which shipping provider is used, when a customer places an order. Carrier keys are often country-specific (i.e. hermes_at) as shipping contracts are typically tailored to individual countries.

CarrierGroupKey

The carrierGroupKey controls how the Carrier is visually represented during the Checkout process.

Use visuals to demonstrate what users will see. Include labeled screenshots of critical parts.

Key Notes & Limitations

Use callouts or warning boxes for special rules and limitations that users should be aware of.

Examples from Express CO:

  • ⚠️ Address Book not supported: All address edits must happen manually on the review page.
  • ⚠️ Pre-filled Billing Info: Comes from the payment provider and can’t be changed.
  • ⚠️ Order Total May Change: Changes in address or promo eligibility may update final price.
  • ⚠️ Payment Re-Authorization Possible: If final price differs significantly, a re-auth prompt may occur.
