Manage Merchants

There are two main processes for administering merchants:

  1. Automated data updates.
  2. Attribute Groups or category mapping (merchant assignment).

This page covers (1) data updates as well as merchant contact information. The next page covers merchant mappings.

Data Updates

You can automate data updates under Settings > Merchant Management > Merchants > Merchant Name > General > Settings > Updates. Using the Updates function, you can specify which merchant-supplied changes to apply automatically. Data updates can be General Information or merchant-specific Attribute Groups.

A general information update can affect the following:

  • Categories
  • Prices
  • Product images
  • Product names
  • All Attribute Groups

Alternatively, you can activate automatic data updates for merchant-specific Attribute Groups, for example, the Attribute Groups "color" or "size".

Click Add Attribute Groups and a window opens where you can enter further information. The selected Attribute Groups appear on the overview page after adding them.

Contacts

You can also manage contacts on the merchant details page. Add a new contact as follows:

  1. Click Create Contact. A window opens in which you enter relevant contact information.
  2. Enter Contact Type, Full Name, Position, Email, and Phone. Optionally, you can enter Cell Phone, Description, or Substitute.
  3. Click Create Contact to confirm the entry. The new contact is added to the overview list.
