Assortment

Overview

SCAYLE centralizes product data, so all products from all merchants are in one place. You can select which products to add to which shops. This selection is managed under Assortment in the Shops area.

The assortment page is only available at the local shop level, so first select a local shop.

If no criteria have been defined, the system will initially include all products it can find in SCAYLE.

Define Assortments

For a given shop, you define your assortment using different criteria. To define shop criteria click the Add Criterion menu.

The following two options are available for defining assortments:

  1. System criteria.
  2. Attribute Group.

Define Assortments with System Criteria

System criteria are predefined by the system and cannot be adjusted in the SCAYLE Panel. These include:

  • Merchants
  • Product IDs
  • Master Categories

Defining Assortment with criteria

Add merchants

The merchants criteria determines whether articles from individual merchants are included or excluded from the shop's assortment.

The term merchant covers various assortment sources that supply products to SCAYLE, such as:

  • Retailers
  • Distributors
  • Local shops
  • Warehouses
  • Logistics centers

If a merchant is added to a shop by an inclusion rule, all products of this merchant are automatically assigned to the shop. Therefore, it is necessary to define further criteria to limit the shop's assortment.

Add a merchant to define the assortment

  1. Go to Shops > Shop Name > Internationalization > Assortment.
  2. In the Merchant field, enter the merchant’s name.

Add multiple merchants

  1. Use the copy and paste function to paste multiple merchant names into the Merchants field.

Remove merchants from a shop
