Admins

Administrators have a unique role in SCAYLE with a broad range of permissions. For example, they are responsible for who has access to which areas of different shops. They manage rights, configure specific settings, and are able to access areas others cannot.

Once you have set up your account, it is a good idea to first get a general overview of SCAYLE and the different environments you have access to as a means of orientation.

For administrators, the following three operational areas are significant:

  • User Management
  • Admin Settings
  • Reports

User Management

You access the user management via Settings under Settings > User Management > Users.

As an administrator, you will now see a list of all registered users for the respective environment. To add more users click + Invite User. You can also set a user's status to active or reset their MFA.

For more information, see Invite User.

If users cannot log in, it may be because they have not logged in for 90 days. In that case, accounts will be set inactive for security reasons, and you will have to reactivate them.

Each user is assigned a role, such as administrator, shop manager, or campaign manager. You can find a list of all roles under Roles. For each role you can define individual permissions. For example, you can define the following:

  • Who has access to API keys.
  • Who can edit Attribute Groups or master categories.
  • Who is allowed to approve prices.
  • Who can create missions.

To adjust user permissions, click on a user role in the role overview and make changes in the right column.

For more information, see Manage User Roles.

Admin Settings

There are several configuration options in SCAYLE, which are usually reserved for administrators. You can also find these in the Settings grouped in the side menu under General. This includes, for example, creating and managing API keys that allow direct access to your shops via API. To view more settings, click Configurations.

For details, see Configurations.

Reports

Another important area for administrators is Reports, located under Shops > Shop Name > Reports. You can edit and export reports. In addition, you can customize which user roles can view reports. You can access Reports from the main menu.

For details, see Manage Reports.
