Sign in to SCAYLE
Sign-in
For the first sign-in, administrators are sent a user account for the SCAYLE Panel. Administrators can then invite new users with the appropriate roles. To create a new account, you only need the user's email address. Users set their own password when signing in for the first time.
Users are redirected to the sign-in page after an extended period of inactivity.
Password Standards
If you receive an invitation link from your administrator, you have 24 hours to activate your account and set a password. Passwords must meet the following criteria:
- Min. 8 letters
- Max. 30 letters
- Min. one lower case letter
- Min. one capital letter
- Min. one number
We recommend a password manager for creating and managing passwords.
Forgot Password?
You have five password attempts. After the fifth failed sign-in attempt, your account will be locked for 60 seconds. You can try again later or reset your password.
If you forget your password, click Forgot password? to create a new one. You will receive an email with a link to set a new password. Once the password is updated, you are automatically redirected to the SCAYLE Panel homepage.
Multi-Factor Authentication
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) provides additional security for your account. In addition to your password, you will need to enter a six-digit confirmation code when you sign in. This code is generated by an authentication app.
You can activate multi-factor authentication for your account in your profile settings.
Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication
When signing in to your account for the first time, you are automatically prompted to set up multi-factor authentication.
To generate a security code:
- Install an authentication app, such as Google Authenticator, on the device you wish to use for code generation.
- After installation, open the app and scan the QR code displayed on the website. (In Google Authenticator select the "+" icon and select "Scan a QR code".)
- The app now generates a numeric code. To complete the registration, enter the Verification Code on the SCAYLE site.
Sign in with Multi-Factor Authentication
When you sign in to the SCAYLE Panel, you are asked for your login data (email and password). Next, enter the six-digit verification code that you generated with the app. After verifying your entry, you are directed to SCAYLE Panel's dashboard.
Add trusted devices for MFA
You have the option of not having to enter the MFA code on every single login. Below the MFA input on the login page there is a checkbox where you can select "Don't require MFA on this browser". If the checkbox is selected, a cookie is stored to trust your current browser for 30 days and you will not be asked for an MFA code for this time period.
Store backup codes for MFA
Inside your profile on the security tab, you will find backup codes. Store these recovery codes in a secure password manager. They can be used to recover access to your account if your two-factor authentication device is lost.
Reset MFA
To initiate the process of resetting your MFA and generating a new QR code, navigate to your user profile, access the Security Tab, and utilize the provided "Reset MFA" button. Alternatively, you may also get in touch with your designated SCAYLE Account Manager for assistance.

How do I resolve login problems with multi-factor authentication?
When using multi-factor authentication, you might occasionally experience problems. If you set up multi-factor authentication correctly and still get an error message, try the following steps:
- Clear your browser cache.
- Ensure that your authentication app is up-to-date.
- Ensure that the time on your computer and on your device is the same and that both are updated automatically.
- If you are still unable to use multi-factor authentication, uninstall your authentication app, delete your device cache, and download the app again. Then reinstall the app and scan the newly generated QR Code.
How do I change the device for multi-factor authentication?
To change your multi-factor authentication (MFA) device, you need to reset your MFA and start the setup process again. If you no longer have access to your account, please contact your administrator or your SCAYLE Account Manager for assistance.
