Shops Dashboard

Shop Information

The top of the Dashboard page displays the following information for the selected shop:

The Shops Dashboard

Shop Status

Initially, every shop is set as inactive. The status active indicates that the shop is live and can be visited by customers. An active shop is connected to all relevant systems. In an active shop, data is sent, received, and processed in real-time. Note that some shops might have the status “unknown”. This is especially expected for shops created on preview and test environments because only shops that are live are included in the monitoring.

Resetting a shop to inactive can have significant implications. Therefore, it is not possible to make this status change yourself in the SCAYLE Panel. Contact your SCAYLE Account Manager if you would like to set an active shop to inactive.

Some changes, such as editing the shop configuration, can only be made if the shop status is set to inactive. Other actions – such as managing categories, missions, or bulk media uploads – can be performed independently of the shop status.

Monitoring

Each shop has a storefront uptime and SSL certificate check based on the storefront URL configured at the country level. The uptime status is displayed as either "running" if the storefront is active or "down" if it is not.

Storefront Uptime Status

Monitor the uptime of shops at both the country and global levels.

  • The Dashboard displays a warning bar indicating countries where the shop is down.
  • Shops that are not reachable within 3 minutes are marked as 'down' in the Storefront Uptime column.

For the uptime check engine to work properly you MUST whitelist these IPs from this list.

Disabling Uptime Status

For live environments you may disable the uptime status. This option is frequently used in these cases:

  • The shop is not live yet
  • The shops URL is not valid or publicly reachable
  • Shop Managers do not want to get notified when the shop is down

In case, the Uptime Status monitoring is disabled, the SCAYLE Panel will

  • show the uptime status as “unknown”
  • show a banner on the shop country page informing the user that the monitoring is paused
  • remove the uptime history

SSL Certificate Expiry Notifications

To ensure the security and functionality of your shop, the Shops Dashboard provides alerts regarding SSL certificate expiration:

  1. Advance Warning (30 Days Before Expiry):
A warning message appears in the Shops Dashboard when an SSL certificate is within 30 days of expiration. This is a proactive reminder to check the certificate's renewal status and plan for any necessary updates.
  2. Urgent Notification (7 Days Before Expiry):
An error message is displayed if the SSL certificate is set to expire within the next 7 days. This indicates immediate action is required to prevent disruptions to your shop's secure transactions and customer trust.
  3. Critical Error (After Expiry):
If the SSL certificate expires and is not renewed, a critical error message is shown in the Shops Dashboard. This signifies that the certificate has expired, and your shop is likely experiencing disruptions

Why This Matters

SSL certificates are critical for encrypting sensitive information and ensuring customer trust. An expired certificate can result in:

  • Insecure connections that deter customers.
  • Reduced search engine ranking.
  • Browser warnings that harm your shop's credibility.

If the SSL certificate is not updated in time, your shop may become inaccessible to users or display security warnings that negatively impact customer confidence and sales.

What You Need to Do

  • Check your SSL Certificate Status: Navigate to your SSL certificate provider or hosting dashboard to confirm the expiration date.
  • Renew the Certificate: Contact your certificate provider or hosting service to renew the SSL certificate.
  • Install the New Certificate: Ensure the renewed certificate is properly installed to maintain uninterrupted functionality.

Shop Analytics

The dashboard displays near real-time analytics with KPIs. The time frame for the data is adjusted in the dropdown on the upper right. The available time frames are as follows:

  • Last 5 minutes
  • Last 1 hour
  • Last 4 hours
  • Today
  • Last 2 days
  • Last 3 days
  • Last 7 days
  • Last 15 days
  • Last 30 days

There may be a slight delay between an event, such as an order, and when the corresponding KPI data is updated.

The following table summarizes available KPIs at the global and country levels.
