Attribute Groups
To apply translations to Attribute Groups:
- Under Attribute Groups, select a Target Language from the dropdown menu.
- Under Translations, select whether to show All, Existing, or Non existing translations.
- Click Show Translations to display the Attribute Groups and corresponding translations.
- To limit the number of Attribute Groups displayed, you can optionally specify whether you want to display a list of existing or non-existing translations.
Simple Attribute Groups
To apply translations to Simple Attribute Groups:
- Select up to 5 Attribute Groups using the dropdown menu.
- From the Target Language dropdown menu, select the language to translate to.
- Under Translations you can select whether to show All, Existing, or Non existing translations.
- Click Show Translations.
- A list of Attribute values will appear with the original and target language. Add or edit the target language translations for each Attribute Group. Changes will save automatically each time you change the text field.
You can enter missing translations step-by-step and edit the displayed list. Even though shops within SCAYLE only support one language at a time, you can manage multiple shops with the same language simultaneously. Thus, once you have saved your translations, they are automatically applied to all existing shops using the same language.
Advanced Attribute Groups
To apply translations to Advanced Attribute Groups:
- Select up to 5 Attribute Groups using the dropdown menu.
- From the Target Language dropdown menu, select the language to translate to.
- Select up to 10 Product IDs.
- Click Show Translations.
- Click the product to open the associated Attribute values. You can then add or edit the target language translations. Your changes will save automatically.
For each product ID, the user interface displays the advanced Attribute Groups’ original values to be translated. Next to the initial values, you can enter the corresponding translations. Like simple Attribute Groups, you can enter the required translations for advanced Attribute Groups one by one.
Master Categories
To apply translations to Master Categories:
- Under Master Categories, select a Target Language from the dropdown menu.
- Under Translations, select whether to show All, Existing, or Non existing translations.
- Click Show Translations.
- You can enter a translation for each level in the category hierarchy. The term to be translated is in bold. For instance, in the example below you would translate from top down: Clothing, Women, Jackets, and so on.
Up to 50 master categories are displayed at once by default, which you can edit individually. However, you can increase the amount to 100, 200 or a maximum of 500.
Default Filters
To apply translations to Default Filters:
- Under Default Filters, select a Target Language from the dropdown menu.
- Under Translations, select whether to show All, Existing, or Non existing translations.
- Click Show Translations to display the filters and corresponding translations.
- Add/edit the translations for each filter.
Import and Export
You can upload translations to the SCAYLE Panel from the import area. For details about importing translations, see Imports & Exports.
In general, it is possible to export translations that were edited in the SCAYLE Panel. However, this requires a specifically adapted report that the SCAYLE Panel support team can create for you. Once the report has been created, you can generate it as often as you like in the report area of the SCAYLE Panel and download it from the exports area.
