User Profile

Click on the user icon in the upper right corner and Edit Profile to change your personal information. The Edit Profile page has the following subareas:

Basic Info

Under the tab Basic Info you can edit user details like Name and Mobile Number and Timezone.

The SCAYLE Panel shows dates in the user's locale time based on the configured time zone.

Access permissions

You can also edit access permissions though Roles, Allowed Merchants, and Allowed Shops.

Leaving the fields Allowed Shops, Allowed Shop Countries or Allowed Merchants empty will grant the user access to data from ALL shops, merchants, or countries.

You can only change your status and user role for yourself or others if you have the required permissions.

For more information, see manage roles.

Security

In the second tab, you can manage security settings including updating your password and two-factor authentication.

Update Password

To update your password, first enter your old password. Then enter your new password, re-enter it for confirmation, and click Save. If successful, a "saved" message displays to the left of the Save button.

If your password does not match or meet the security criteria, you receive a red notification message below the relevant field.

Two-Factor Authentication

The Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) section allows you to enhance the security of your account. However, please note that at the moment, we only support two-factor authentication through authenticator apps.

To display the recovery codes that can be used to regain access to your account in case your 2FA device is lost, follow these steps:

  • Click Show Recovery Codes.
  • Store these recovery codes in a secure password manager.

If you ever need to reset two-factor authentication for your account, you can do so by following these steps:

  • Click Reset.
  • Scan the QR code with your preferred authenticator app.
  • Enter the code generated by the authenticator app.
  • Click Confirm.

Please be aware that while we currently do not support two-factor authentication via email or SMS, we highly recommend using an authenticator app for an extra layer of account security.

In the Subscriptions tab, you can activate and deactivate your notifications. It is not yet possible to modify which notifications you receive by mail and which are only displayed in the SCAYLE Panel.
