States
In Review
The data replication was created, all required information was submitted and it was handed over for double confirmation to a reviewer.
Statuses after the review | Description |
---|---|
Declined | The reviewer declined the data replication job |
Pending | The data replication job was reviewed, approved and started by the reviewer. |
In Progress | The replication process is in progress. |
Declined
The Declined state in the data replication process indicates that a replication request has been reviewed and rejected by the approver. Please contact your approver for insights regarding the reason for the decline.
Pending
The Pending state indicates that the data replication tasks are waiting to be picked up and processed. At this stage, no actions have been taken yet, and the replication process has not started. However, due to the asynchronous nature of handling multiple tasks, it is not possible to stop or cancel the replication while it is in the Pending state. The tasks will proceed automatically once the system initiates them.
In Progress
The In Progress state means that at least one or all of the tasks are currently being processed. This state follows a specific sequence: first, the export (backup) tasks are executed, and only when all of them have succeeded does the process move on to the import tasks. This process cannot be stopped once it has begun, as it follows the set order of operations to ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the replication process.
Failed
Export Partially & Failed
A Failed Export Job indicates that the data could not be successfully transferred from the source environment to the target environment. This can occur for various reasons, which can be found in the System Details section or the Log section for each respective task. When one or more export tasks fail, the overall replication is considered failed and will not proceed to the import phase. In such cases, a new replication request can be created.
Import Failed
If one or more import tasks fail, an automatic rollback is initiated after all import tasks have been completed, regardless of their state. This rollback ensures that any partial or unsuccessful data changes are reverted, maintaining the integrity of the target environment. See more in Rollback.
Rollback Failed
Rollback Failed is a rare occurrence but can happen if downstream services encounter unforeseen issues during the rollback process. If this state occurs, it is crucial to contact the Customer Success Team immediately for assistance. Alternatively, you can manually trigger the rollback again by using the button located at the top right of the detail page. This manual intervention may help to resolve the issue and restore the data to its previous state.
Succeeded
The Succeeded state indicates that all data replication tasks, both export and import, have been successfully completed without any errors. This means that the data has been accurately transferred from the source environment to the target environment, and the replication process is fully complete.
Rollback Succeeded
The Rollback Succeeded state indicates that the rollback process has been successfully completed. All data changes have been reverted to their original state, ensuring that the target environment is restored to its original condition before the replication began.
