Tradebyte and SCAYLE Environments
Tradebyte offers two types of tenant accounts, while SCAYLE provides three operational environments. Understanding how these can be linked helps define the right setup for testing, staging, and live marketplace operations.
Tradebyte Account Types
Professional Account
- Provides one single environment: Live/Production.
- Use this environment for testing without affecting live marketplaces. After testing, you can reset and activate it for production. Note: Once in production, you can't test in parallel anymore.
Enterprise Account
- Provides two environments:
- Staging
- Live/Production
- Allows ongoing testing in the staging environment while the live system is operational.
- The Live environment can also be tested without sending data to marketplaces and later reset for production.
Environment Connectivity
SCAYLE environments can be connected to Tradebyte accounts with some limitations based on the type of Tradebyte account:
- A Professional Account has only one environment, so it can connect to one SCAYLE environment at a time, typically SCAYLE Live for production use or temporarily to Test/Prev during setup.
- An Enterprise Account provides Staging and Live, which allows more flexible mappings such as:
- SCAYLE PREV → Tradebyte Staging.
- SCAYLE TEST → Tradebyte Staging
- SCAYLE LIVE → Tradebyte Live
Recommendation:
Avoid connecting multiple SCAYLE environments to the same Tradebyte environment. Sharing environments leads to inconsistent data flows and unexpected behavior. Each Tradebyte environment should be linked to only one SCAYLE environment at a time for a stable and predictable setup.
To ensure clean onboarding, Tradebyte offers a full account reset when switching a Tradebyte environment to a different SCAYLE environment. This guarantees a fresh start without legacy data.
This setup enables continuous testing, smoother rollouts, and safer onboarding, depending on the tenant’s needs and the chosen Tradebyte account type.
