Flash Sales

Flash Sales apply a percentage discount to selected products for a limited time. They're simple by design, offering one discount type with no complex conditions, which makes them ideal for time-boxed campaigns that create urgency, like a weekend deal for VIPs.

Flash sales are only visible in Basket and Checkout screens. If you want a discount campaign to be visible throughout more steps of your journey, please check Price Campaigns.

Use Flash Sales when you need a fast, temporary % discount on a specific set of products. Do you have a more complex campaign set up in mind? Check out Automatic Discounts and Advanced Automatic Discounts.

Example: Offer 20% off selected products for VIP customers over the weekend.

Setting Flash Sales up via SCAYLE Panel

In the SCAYLE Panel navigate to Shops and select the shop you want to create a Flash sale for. On the left hand side menu select Promotions ➜ Flash Sales.

Here you will be able to see a list of existing Flash sales, manage them and create new Flash sales.

Create a new Flash sale

  1. Select the Shop where you want to create your promotion and go to Promotions ➜ Flash Sales.
  2. Click the + New Flash Sale button.
  3. In the Name field, type a name for the promotion (visible internally only).
  4. Enter a whole number in the Priority field. SCAYLE does not evaluate this value itself; it passes it on to your shop, which decides how to use it, for example lower numbers first, higher numbers first, or not at all. If you're unsure how your shop uses it, check with your development team.
  5. In the Display Name field, type the name of the promotion that will be shown to the customer during the Checkout Process. It can also be used on email templates and Invoices.
  6. You can decide to activate a usage limitation for the promotion
