Tiered Discount

Promotion tiers allow you to set different discount values based on the customer’s minimum order value (MOV). As the order total increases, so does the value of the discount. Only the changed values need to be defined per tier, as these are merged with the main promotion settings.

Promotion tiers currently work with the Automatic Discount effect, making them ideal for encouraging higher spend with scalable incentives.

Example: When the Minimum Order Value (MOV) reaches 100 €, the customer gets a 10% discount. When the MOV reaches 150 €, the customer gets a 15% discount.

Setting Tiered Discounts up via SCAYLE Panel

1. Select the Shop where you want to create your promotion and go to Promotions ➜ Tiered Discount
2. Click the + New Tiered Discount button.
3. In the Name field, type a name for the promotion.
4. Priority: enter the priority of the promotion compared to other (1 is the highest)s.
5. In the Display Name field, type the name of the promotion that will be shown to the customer during the Checkout Process as this information can also be used on E-mail templates and Invoices.
6. Start date: enter the date and time when the promotion starts running.
7. End date: enter the date and time when the promotion becomes inactive.
8. Countries: Select which shop countries that will be eligible for a promotion
9. Audiences: select audience(s) that will participate on the promotion
10. Allow promotions to be combined with other promotions on the basket or basket items. For details see Multiple Promotions on Item Level. This would allow multiple promotions to be applied on the basket.
11. Select the Tiered Discount conditions.
    1. Define the Discount Type: percentage or absolute
    2. Define the Tiers
12. Set where the Customer Gets the promotion:
    1. Specific Product: The promotion will be applied to specific Product IDs
    2. Specific Categories: The promotion will be applied to specific categories
    3. Specific Attributes: The promotion will be applied to specific attributes
    4. Any product: The promotion will be applied to any product
13. Click Create Promotion.

Edit a Tiered Discount

• Select the Shop where you want to edit your promotion and go to Promotions ➜ Tiered Discount
• Click the Edit button.
• Note from here you can update your rules on the same template you used to create it OR
• Deactivate the discount, for this click on the 3 vertical dots besides Edit and select Deactivate.

Hint: On the right side you can see a nifty summary of all your promotion is doing!

• Hit save

Delete a Tiered Discount

• Select the Shop where you want to edit your promotion and go to Promotions ➜ Tiered Discount
• Click on the 3 vertical dots besides “Edit” > Delete
• Confirm on pop up
