Klarna One

How Klarna One works

Klarna One is integrated into the SCAYLE checkout as a single payment option.

Only Klarna is displayed to the customer during checkout, rather than individual Klarna payment methods. After selecting Klarna, the customer chooses their preferred Klarna payment method (such as Pay Now, Pay Later, or Financing) directly within the Klarna interface, ensuring a simplified checkout while retaining full payment flexibility.

Note: All payment methods that are configured in your Klarna account also need to be activated in your SCAYLE Panel (set as hidden to the customer). Otherwise the payments won’t be processed correctly. If you have questions you can reach out to your SCAYLE Account Manager.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • An active Klarna merchant account with Klarna One enabled.
  • API credentials from your Klarna Merchant Portal:
  • Username
  • Password
  • Merchant ID
  • API URL (separate credentials for sandbox and production)
  • Access to Klarna test accounts (helpful for sandbox testing).

Capture Types

  • Instant capture – The payment is captured immediately when the order is placed.

Note: Klarna One usually defaults to instant capture.

You may configure restrictions for Klarna One, such as:

  • Minimum / maximum basket value
  • Minimum customer age
  • Availability only in selected countries

Optional Configurations

  • Enable Pay One only for specific checkout flows (e.g., express checkout).
  • Combine Klarna with gift cards or vouchers.

Configuration of the Payment Method
